Five years ago, we, Ian and Elizabeth, started beekeeping as a hobby that quickly spiralled into an all-consuming passion! What a milestone to celebrate!
It all began in our cherished Geddington home back garden with just one small nuc.
Fuelled by our love for bees and commitment to the environment, that humble start grew into something extraordinary, and we’ve never looked back.
Our family business, Sweet Sting, rooted in the heart of the Geddington countryside, embodies our dedication to sustainable beekeeping and the joy of nurturing our bees.
From that single nuc, we’ve built a thriving bond with our bees, producing high-quality honey that captures the rich, exquisite flavours of our hard work.
We’re incredibly grateful for our wonderful neighbours, who found the early bee swarms both funny and amazing to watch, cheering us on with their support and enthusiasm.
As a token of our appreciation, they earned a free pot of honey for every swarm, making those moments even sweeter!
Their kindness has truly enriched our journey.
